My Journey with Distance Reiki
Of late I’ve been banging on about Distance Reiki. About how you can have a reiki energy healing session without ever leaving the comfort of your own home. Well you can. That’s where a virtual distance reiki session comes in.
“A what!!” I hear you say, “how does that work?” I’m hearing you, trust me I get it. I was super skeptical at first too, and I was training in it. I was like “How the hell does that actually work? Surely not, it can’t cross space, time, oceans and land, can it?”
I wasn’t really sure about doing this distance reiki stuff at first, let alone talking about it to people it made me sound crazy. So how on earth could I offer it as a service if I didn’t even believe I could do it, or if it would even work. I certainly wasn’t very confident within myself as a practitioner with distance reiki when I first started out. While I was always a willing recipient and regularly received treatments myself. It some how took me a few years and some mentoring and guidance from Hailey my Reiki Master Teacher to help me connect the dots , find the missing pieces and to be confidant enough within my own abilities to access and fully understand how capable I actually was. Once I had a few sessions under my belt with Haileys guidance and support in what was going on was more than just reiki energy. I felt the potency of conducting a distance session and the capacity that I was actually able to tap into energetically, a whole new world began to open up for me. Welcome to the world of unlocking my pyschic medium gifts. I was sold on the idea and a little addicted to the energetic buzz that I got from doing the distance reiki sessions. Now I love it, and I’ll shout it from the roof tops, its so powerful and it allows me to connect and utilise my emerging medium-ship abilities which I’m still discovering and learning to work with during each reiki session. During a distance session I’m noticing that I definitely have access to more of a deeper connection with the client and I can access more information during the treatment.
It truly is relaxing and magical. Every session is very different for every client, what they experience can and will vary depending on what they are emotionally and energetically going through in their life. I just cant explain it, its something you need to experience for yourself. Sometimes I think we just have to have surrender, let go and trust in the magic and be open minded to allow the universe to do its thing.
So, just to clarify it a little better for you what Reiki is, it’s energy and energy transcends time and space. A little analogy I like to use is just like more people are working remotely from home, all they need is Wi-Fi. We cant see it and most of us don’t understand wi-fi but somehow it works, and we just accept it and trust that it’s there working. Reiki energy is no different.
Distance Reiki explained.
Distance Reiki, also known as remote Reiki or long-distance Reiki, it is a practice that allows Reiki practitioners to deliver healing energy to individuals who are not physically present. Let’s delve into the details:
What Is Distance Reiki?
Distance Reiki involves sending healing energy to someone who is not in the same physical location as the practitioner.
The recipient could be in another room, another building, or even miles away.
Unlike traditional in-person Reiki sessions where hands-on contact is used, distance healing relies on the transmission of energy through intention and visualization.
How It Works:
During Reiki training, practitioners learn about various symbols, one of which is the “distance symbol.”
When invoked, this symbol allows the practitioner to send healing Reiki energy across time and space.
The distance symbol enables practitioners to:
Clear blockages from someone’s past.
Perform Reiki on someone who is not physically present.
connect with a person, place or object at any time - past, present or future - in any world, galaxy or dimension, with the intention of sending universal life force energy.
Distance Reiki healing works according to an ancient principle called the Hermetic Law of Similarity, which holds that we are all connected, as we are all made of energy and part of a larger whole. Invoking this law during a distance Reiki session allows the practitioner to link up to the energy field of the recipient. Once it is “tuned in” it will flow through the energy currents that exist naturally, the same way that a phone signal or Wi-Fi signal does. The energy that surrounds us carries all these energies to the intended receiver. The Reiki practitioner acts as a conduit and tunes the healing energy to the person it is being sent to.
How Distance Reiki Sessions Work:
Practitioners can send distance Reiki to anyone, anywhere, and at any time.
Permission should be asked and received in some way (energetically or verbally) by the client.
Methods include:
Using the recipient’s photo and a healing crystal.
Using a board with the outline of a body
Directing thoughts and energy to the person without physical objects.
Sessions can be conducted over the phone or other communication channels.
Regardless of distance, Reiki can offer benefits such as:
Increased relaxation.
Enhanced feelings of happiness and empowerment.
A sense of ease.
A typical session with me ….
Once you have booked your appointment you will receive an email confirmation with your zoom link. All we need is a zoom connection via iPhone or your computer a comfortable place to lay and relax where you wont be disturbed and an open mind.
We will connect before your session via zoom and have a quick chat to see where your at and then I’ll ask you to settle and then ground you with a meditation and then I’ll commence sending you reiki energy.
While I’m doing this I’ll be scanning your body and your aura field looking for stale stagnant energy and blockages. Releasing what is ready to be released and also checking and re-balancing your chakra’s. Once the session has concluded I will then bring you back and we will discuss my findings. You will also be given an follow up email you can refer to with helpful information to assist you on your healing journey moving forward.
Remember, we all have access to the life force energy it flows through every living being. Distance Reiki is one of the ways to channel this energy for a healing purpose.
